in the beginning...

i walked into this class not knowing what to expect, and i guess, i still don't really know for sure. how do i choose my informants? how do i go about bringing up the subject of "using" them to their parents? what do i ask? when do i ask? i guess i will learn as i go along...and hope that at some point i get it right...
